Music in the Park Returns this Summer
The City of Canal Winchester invites families with children of all ages and adults alike to see and explore the many fascinating public works and public safety vehicles on display at the upcoming “Touch-A-Truck” event on Friday, May 19 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Touch-A-Truck kicks off the city’s 2023 Music in the Park free summer event series at Stradley Park (36 S. High St.). From dump trucks to police cars, firetrucks, and more, get an up-close experience with vehicles from Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office, Madison Township Fire Department, Madison Township Police, Franklin County Engineer’s Office, Rumpke Waste & Recycling, South Central Power, and the City of Canal Winchester.
For those more interested in live entertainment, the event will also feature live music by Simple Harvest. Additional free hands-on activities and games will be available throughout the park.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and picnic, purchase food from one of the food trucks on site, or carry-out from one of our downtown restaurants. This year, as part of the newly implemented Designated Outdoor Refreshment Area (DORA), visitors will be able to purchase alcoholic beverages from participating establishments to enjoy within the DORA boundaries. More information on DORA can be found on the city’s website. No outside alcohol is permitted within the park.
The fun continues all summer long! Come back on Friday, June 16th for Pet Palooza and live music from The Treble Catz. Then on July 21st, the Gas Pump Jockeys return for a record 16th season for our annual Cruise-In Car Show, hosted by C-Town Cruisers.
Music in the Park is a free summer concert series held the third Friday of May, June, and July, weather permitting. Visit www.canalwinchesterohio.gov for more information.
